15 Online Tools Every Entrepreneur Should Know Of

In the past I have written up posts about tools designed to help a blogger, but now I am focusing on business oriented tools. These tools are great for those looking to start their own business or to improve on an existing one.

Almostmeet

Almostmeet, by the folks at Dabbleboard (see below), is a great way for teams to meet online and collaborate together. Perhaps not as good as working in person, it is ‘Almost’ as good. Great tools you mention there.

I would like to know that what is the difference between Constant Contact and Aweber?

    Thanks,
    Nabeel

    • Alex Ainsberg

Thanks Nabeel. They both offer the same basic services. I asked a customer service rep from aweber who boasted their 99.34% delivery rate – the highest percentage in the industry of successfully landing in people’s inboxes. The rep had a candid answer planned out and I am sure they get the question often. If you would like I can send you his response. Bear in mind, I only spoke to an aweber rep.

I’ve honestly never heard of any of these tools! Haha. I guess I’m not as much of an entrepreneur as I thought! lol

    Hey Alex,

Very impressive list. Good part about the list is that it covers almost everything one needs as an entrepreneur. I would definitely want to check out Constant Contact, Mindomo and Project2Manage.

Hope to see more posts from you.

    Take Care!

Nice list, like to add one more project management collaboration tool to the list which makes my work easier. Checkout DeskAway(http://www.deskaway.com) The project management tool with free basic plan, free trials for paid plans having powerful and rich features.

    • Alex Ainsberg

DeskAway was going to be in my next post! Oh well, I guess you covered it already :) . Thanks for the comment!

        Hey Alex,
Looking forward to your review of DeskAway. Enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks!

  • Charles

Mint is the only one here that I use, but I will definitely check out a few others you suggest. I use Mavenlink instead of Project2Manage and really like that. You should check that out. Thanks for the tips!

    • Alex Ainsberg

Thanks for the comment. I will surely check it out.

  • http://www.teenbusinessforum.com Jack

I like the offline version of Mindomo- Freemind. Being offline, it’s faster. What I do is create a Freemind file, then put it in a folder that is synced with Dropbox so that wherever I am, I can access the same file. So also, Dropbox and Skype. I live on Skype!

    • Alex Ainsberg

I love DropBox and I love how you use it there. I was going to include Skype in this post, but I decided to leave it for another time. Thanks for the comment!

  • http://www.inmarketingtips.com Kent Chow

Alex, it’s a great list and I love to revisit and try out different apps. I am a big fan of Web 2.0 apps. :)

Mint.com is what I am using. I have multiple checking and credit card accounts. It’s a very nice one to see how my cash flow goes and centralize tracking my family expenses.

I think I should create another one just for my business purpose.. It’s about tracking my revenue and expense as I have multiple affilate streams from here and there.

I used to use Quicken, but mint.com is much better and I could access the data anywhere I go. Which mobile app do u do? I gotta check it out soon.

    • Alex Ainsberg

      Hey Kent,

Same here. I don’t know if you have already done so, but you check out my previous posts on Ben-Lang.com

Yeah, I love the way Mint is organized and I recently read an article highlighting its security features.

If you are interested, mint has a mobile app – http://www.mint.com/features/anywhere/

      Thanks!

  • http://www.usedtiresdealers.com used tires

Great compilation of tools for all us entrepreneurs to take full advantage of! Surprisingly I had not heard of most of these tools, perhaps it is because for the most part I use alternative versions of the ones listed nonetheless, this an awesome list :)

    Till then,

    Jean

    • Alex Ainsberg

I would love to hear which tools you use instead! Thanks Jean!

      • http://www.usedtiresdealers.com used tires

Hi Alex, well for one example, I use GoToMeeting, and Skype for conference calls, and meetings. But nonetheless all the tools mentioned here are great :)

        Till then,

        Jean

I’m going to throw in a vote for Dropbox as well – syncs up with your computers which has been a godsend when working between home and at my job – I can’t say how many times it’s saved my butt.

As for the others, I really like the project management tools – got far too many sitting in folders now, need a better organizational method.
