Dear beloved readers,

EpicLaunch.com it is!

Less than a year ago when I started Ben-Lang.com as a simple personal website, I’d never have thought that it would become a popular blog. If I had, I would probably have spent a bit more time thinking about the domain name…

Over the past few months, as the blog’s started to feature more and more guest posters, I’ve come to the realization that the name Ben-Lang.com is way to self centered and does not represent the diversity of the blog’s contributors.  So I’ve decided to rebrand the blog from my personal name to a new name, EpicLaunch. For me, the most exciting aspect of Entrepreneurship is the launch of the business, so I found EpicLaunch fitting well for this young entrepreneur blog.

What’s changed?

  • As you can see, Ben-Lang.com is now EpicLaunch.com
  • Due to the courtesy of Unstrapp’d we now have new social media designs, a new header and favicon. Follow us on our new Twitter account and Facebook page.
  • The categories were recently rearranged in order to reflect the emphasis on entrepreneurship.
  • I also want to give credit to Derek Jensen for creating the newest version of the logo.
  • Lastly, I’d like to thank King Sidharth for helping so much with the domain transfer.

        I really like the new logo and name. They are both very awesome.

        I just got to know about this today, by your post on Famousbloggers.

        I had subscribed to your rss on ben-lang.com, but it did not show this post. So I would have never know’d about this change had I not seen that famousbloggers’s post.

        So I should unsubscribe from ben-lang rss and subscribe to epiclauch’s RSS? I think you should also mention this in the post.

    I have a question. Does this mean all the permanent links to your previous posts are invalid now? Doesn’t this hurt your SEO? Or there is some kind of redirection that you have done? If there is, please let me know how to set up the redirection.

      Sure. Nope doesn’t hurt my SEO much, because the links from before are all redirected to this site. I used a 301 redirect in Godaddy.

      If you ever need help with redirecting a site, just let me know, I put my fair share of time into learning how it works :)

      Thanks! Well once you transfer the blog, I was told that Google thinks your copying the other one at first or something. So by getting a lot of links to the new blog and showing that its valid, it helps Google reestablish your Pagerank… I’m not an SEO master so I can’t explain exactly, but this is what I was told.

    Wow! This is a new challenge for you Ben. But I think, with in a month or so, you will gain your blog’s status again because you redirected this new domain from your old one.

    The fact is that, I am thinking of submitting a guest post in this blog today before I open my computer, but when I open up my email, I was surprise that Ben-lang.com is now Epiclaunch.com.

    I thought that you made a partnership of the product also called EPIC*** something. (Sorry I forgot the words.)

    Congrats on the relaunch and great name/logo!

    I actually found out because the RSS was pointing to the wrong feed (hopefully that didn’t effect anything in your RSS numbers).

    I think this gives it a new light and allows it to go further in topics and feel :)
