You’re in a business meeting a potential client. You have 30 seconds to come up with a figure that will be profitable for you and fair for them. You know nothing of how much this company makes, never seen any numbers, and you couldn’t find any in your research.

If your venture makes more money than it spends, then you have a bona fide business. That makes you a business person. As such, you need to act accordingly, but how?

Hard work is overrated. I’m not saying it’s okay to be lazy, but I’m allowing you to embrace it. Laziness comes from one of two things: you have to deal with something that’s difficult, so you procrastinate, or it’s something that’s simple, so you procrastinate even more.

If it’s one thing I’ve struggled with as a business person, it’s charing another person a price for my skills. What if it’s too much? What if I can’t deliver? What if they question me? What if I just do it for free? These are the questions that enter the mind of a beginner before they must submit a proposal to a client.
