How to Build a Quiet Revolution Behind Your Business Launch
It would be an amazing feat to launch a new business or product with the total acceptance from the community. However, this dream of incredible impact is rarely the case for young and new entrepreneurs who have just a few experiences or ventures under their belt.

There is, however, a way to cultivate a response for your latest venture; it stems from creating a quiet revolution.
Building a Quiet Revolution
I’m not a “business guru” or serial entrepreneur, but I’ve learned a thing or two over these last few years of business and product development. The recent launch of my latest venture, PLRArticlesNow, took a complete 180 degrees turn from the “usual” approach to launching an online business.
At the core, it began with listening to the community. The idea began to grow with momentum; it felt less like a project and more like a business venture.
There are five things I would like to explain about starting a quiet revolution when launching your own online business (or product):
- It’s a business – not a ‘project’ – First and foremost; remove the word ‘project’ from your vocabulary. A ‘project’ will only be just that; it will be something you work on without ever determining a final, end result or alignment toward sustainability. A business, on the other hand, is coupled with a completely different mindset which forces you to look at the viable nature of the business through research and testing. The ‘revolution’ begins when you become aware of a problem within your community.
- Declare a movement; be a leader – Now is the time, more than ever, to stand up and voice your position once you’ve determined a problem within your community. The web has given us all incredible flexibility to launch businesses overnight. Large businesses rarely listen to the concerns from the ‘smaller people’ such as your niche community. Rather than waiting for change; make it happen – you be the leader of this new revolution of modern business. People are waiting for someone to take a stance; your blog is the podium, your audience eagerly awaits the call-to-action.
- Dump the distraction and aim for focus – Strip down to the basics. Look beyond the immediate monetary gain from your platform (blog, social presence, etc). There are more than a few distractions that are inherent with your current platform – remove them. Tell people about your one idea; share your movement within every element of your content, brand and actions. Focus everything you have toward your venture. The revolution needs a single, laser focused goal to begin.
- Synergize your content strategy – Look months (or years) into the future; your business doesn’t become successful overnight so keep this in mind for the following. Begin to merge the experience and knowledge you gain through your business development and share every excruciating detail on your platform. Tell the story of your triumphs and struggle. Develop a content strategy which begins to overlap your platform and venture because this is what builds awareness and this is what gets people on board with what’s to come.
- Lead the charge to digital legacy – Gather those closest to you and create awareness around the upcoming revolution that is your business launch. Don’t wait for tomorrow for what you can learn today – go with a soft launch to understand your customer now before you push forward. After spending time refining your message: tell the world! Declare your stance, lead the charge and bring your community.
The items above express a deeper meaning behind your business launch. Your idea for your latest venture may not be the one that changes the world but it’s your idea and reasoning behind your business that starts the revolution.
A Strong Presence is Naturally Viral
People want to align themselves with those that are stern on values. If you see an inherent problem with business that has yet to be addressed, than you be the one to speak out and make the change.
Online business, despite what many will tell you, is not a numbers game. A strong following of just a dozen or more people can be all that you need to capture the entire market.
Those that are willing to defy the concept of a business are the ones that see the ultimate success.
- Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia, demolished the traditional model.
- Napster, developed by a ‘punk’ kid, ripped through the music industry.
- Twitter, with imposed restrictions on message length, changed the way we communicate.
Each of the people behind these ventures wanted to create a revolution. Once people became aware of their stance – they naturally followed.
You can have a successful online business in any niche but it’s your alignment, voice and brand that will get people on board and create an intensely viral change within the business community.
Final Thoughts
I’m rarely the type to speak in vague, idealistic terms within my content such as this one but it’s the experience and knowledge that I’ve gained from my own recent venture that made me aware of these elements. I didn’t want to play the “game;” I wanted to change the rules.
While large businesses dump massive amounts of money into their marketing efforts; you will be the one that is secretly plotting their demise. You will run circles around the industry because you have the power to plant the seeds of change.
Your next venture could become the most successful from your attempts but it’s going to require work, community interaction, a strong stance with your brand, cultivation of followers and an inspirational spark to start the revolution.
What are your thoughts on building a quiet revolution?
