CES ended last week and I was lucky enough to be there and cover it all. Here are the biggest reveals and the most innovative companies that this year’s CES had to offer.

TVs From Samsung and LG

It goes without saying, but LED TVs are the future. And two of the biggest TV companies, Samsung and LG, revealed jaw-dropping 55-inch TVs. And the best part is that they were super thin (LG’s was just 4mm thin).

But Samsung’s TV does stand out for the fact that it will feature an app store with more than 1,000 apps. These TVs are going to be up for sale very soon and will definitely be the example that other TV makers should be following

Windows Phone Steals The Spotlight From Android Phones

If you were walking around centeral hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, you would’ve seen a huge crowd around Microsoft’s booth. More specifically, the table where Windows phones were on display.

In fact, the most popular Windows phone came from what most would consider a phone maker of the past: Nokia. The Nokia Lumia 900, which is set for release in March, was the phone demoed at Microsoft’s last CES keynote. The Windows phone interface was surprisingly fast and seamless. The demo went perfectly and I have a feeling that some people rethought their current phones.

The Tablet Field Just Got A Little More Crowded

Between Samsung’s Galaxy Tablets (8 & 10 inch models were revealed) and Panasonic ToughPad (I’m guessing for construction workers), the android tablet market saw a lot of new models last week. All of the with one goal: destroy the competition (i.e. Apple).

And even the Windows tablets were impressive. Although there weren’t many they were still super sleek and fast.

I think it’s safe to say that tablets were the second biggest things at this year’s CES.

Ultrabooks Made a Splash

I swear, whenever I asked people what their favorite computer was at CES, they all answered the new Ultrabooks from manufacturers like Toshiba, Samsung, LG, and even Dell (who didn’t have a booth, but did announce new products).

The term “ultrabook” was coined by Intel who are apparently really wanting to crush Apple’s Macbook Air. Most of the ultrabooks were incredibly sleek and fast (solid-state hard drives allow for faster boot-up times). But, one area that they clearly weren’t competing with the Air was ij price. Most of the Ultrabooks on display will end up costing anywhere from $800-$2,500.

What I Blogged About During CES 2012:

I chose to blog about some of the more unseen product launches and announcements. Here are all of the posts I did on CES on my blog:

Dear beloved readers, EpicLaunch.com it is! If you're interested in knowing what's changed on this blog and why, please read this post.

Dear beloved readers,

EpicLaunch.com it is!

Less than a year ago when I started Ben-Lang.com as a simple personal website, I’d never have thought that it would become a popular blog. If I had, I would probably have spent a bit more time thinking about the domain name…

Over the past few months, as the blog’s started to feature more and more guest posters, I’ve come to the realization that the name Ben-Lang.com is way to self centered and does not represent the diversity of the blog’s contributors. So I’ve decided to rebrand the blog from my personal name to a new name, EpicLaunch. For me, the most exciting aspect of Entrepreneurship is the launch of the business, so I found EpicLaunch fitting well for this young entrepreneur blog.

What’s changed?

As you can see, Ben-Lang.com is now EpicLaunch.com

Due to the courtesy of Unstrapp’d we now have new social media designs, a new header and favicon. Follow us on our new Twitter account and Facebook page.

The categories were recently rearranged in order to reflect the emphasis on entrepreneurship.

I also want to give credit to Derek Jensen for creating the newest version of the logo.

Lastly, I’d like to thank King Sidharth for helping so much with the domain transfer.

If you are interested in becoming a regular contributor on EpicLaunch.com please visit the guest posting page for more information. I plan on emphasizing the multi author aspect of this blog, and, believe me, you will benefit by becoming a regular contributor

Hope to see you around

Please in order to help the transition and maintain my SEO status, share this post, it will go a long way in helping me and the future authors of this blog out.
