How an eBook Can Work Miracles

The internet is one of the easiest ways to publish information. Whether it’s a simple idea through a blog post or a full scale informational book you’re looking for, you can most likely find it somewhere online.

Writing eBooks has become a huge trend for entrepreneurs. They have seen that eBooks can truly work miracles. eBooks give entrepreneurs exposure, credibility, and of course, money.

Benefits of eBook

Exposure

Many people see publishing an eBook as an easy way to express their thoughts, while others view it as a way to get in front of a huge audience: the whole world.

Perhaps the best thing about publishing an eBook is the fact that you can share it with anyone at any time, no matter where they are. You don’t have to search for a publisher or deal with stores, you simply upload it to a site, promote it, and let the downloads begin.

Credibility

Credibility is very important to us entrepreneurs and we should always look for ways to get more. I believe that writing an eBook is one of the easiest things you could do to increase your credibility. As long as you write valuable and unique information, you’ll be known as an expert in no time.

The important thing to remember about credibility is that it’s essential to the success of your business ventures. It is why people choose one consultant over another.

Money-Making Opportunities

Many people sell their eBooks on their website. Even though the majority of eBooks are free, there is still a possibility for money to be made if it’s good.

This, however, is where you must be careful. If this is your first book, you can’t expect to charge much, if anything at all. And, because your book is in a digital format, it shouldn’t be anywhere near the price of a paper-bound book you buy at a store.

Conclusion

Take your time when writing your book. Regardless of how well you know the subject you’re writing about, there are still things you need to research. The most important part is to have fun while writing.  Don’t let it get you frustrated.

Hopefully you’re convinced that writing an eBook can truly do miracles for you. It is one of the easiest ways to increase exposure, build credibility, and make some money. After all, these are the things every entrepreneur needs.

What are some other ways an eBook can be beneficial?

I’m not sure if I agree with you. First, ebooks rarely can build credibility. If you have the time to write an ebook, you should just make it a real book and sell it in bookstores. When I think e-book I often think of scammers and ppl who want to pitch the hottest money making opportunity to you.

Second, yes it can make you money, but again I rather spend the time building a real business. With ebooks you make money once, unlike a service where you can earn money month after month

First of all, thank you for commenting. I see what your talking about.

The way I see it is that the process of finding a publisher and getting your book into a store is a long and complicated one. Also, when I see someone who’s eBook has received thousands of downloads and good comments/ reviews, I view them as very knowledgeable in their subject. That’s where the credibility part comes in. In the way of money, it can be made if done right. Thats why I said that first time eBook writers shouldn’t charge anything but if you’ve written some before, you can charge for new ones you may write.

I understand where your coming from but I think writing eBooks are good for people who don’t want to go through the process of getting a publisher and getting their books into stores.

      Thanks for the comment.

    Hi Stephen

This is on topic for me. Some of my readers have asked for an ebook in my niche :-) So I am in the process of writing one!

Was discussing with an experienced marketer on Skype about it today. They agreed that it is a good idea and one that should be pursued.

With having a blog where the regular readers are part of the community; interacting with them means that I have built up trust.

I agree that an ebook is great for credibility and I look forward to when my project is completed and I have my ebook to offer my readers.

You should definitely consider writing one – especially since you have that reader base built up. I hope you ultimately have fun while writing it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree with your conclusion and plan to write an ebook at some point as a promotional tool.

I think the trick is the length of the book – too short and it should be a blog post, too long and it should be a *paper* book. You need to hit that middle ground sweetspot!

    • http://www.sperkinsblog.com Stephen

      Hi Danny.
Yes, the trick is to make your eBook the right length. That is something that everyone should take into consideration when writing an eBook.

      Thanks for the comment.

Great stuff you have here, Stephen. Ebooks could really hike up exposure and credibility, especially if you write on topics that your target audience is interested about. Ebooks are great for sharing your knowledge and letting people know that you are an authority on what you do. Its results may not be that immediate, but they come. ;)

Hi Wes! Thanks for the comment. I agree, it does take time but once you get the first downloads of your eBook, the others will come in no time.

Good post! I’ve been hearing for years that a good ebook is a good way to build an “opt-in list”, but I kept putting off writing one. Finally did! Enjoyed writing it too! I kept mine around 22 pages and left out any fluff.

    • http://www.sperkinsblog.com Stephen

Thats great Darlene! What is your eBook about? How many opt-ins have you gotten from it since writing it?

When one thinks of an ebook, we think of something thrown together and/or pirated many times over and regurgitated. This was the attitude I ran up against in my own mind before I created one for my photo tour company.

I took the time to learn Adobe’s inDesign, spent six months getting the photos I needed and researching the content. Created a quality product and the sales have added an additional revenue stream that works 24/7 for me. I do think it adds credibility to what we do also.

We can update as needed and are continuing to add more content, giving free upgrades to previous users.

Check out the link, you can download a sample to see the quality.
