Learn From What The Gurus Do, Not From What They Say
This is something that isn’t immediately obvious to people who are just learning their way around the online economies, but…. no one in their right mind reveals their most profitable secrets. Why would they? That would surely blunt their competitive advantage!

As a matter of fact, they aren’t even selling the good stuff. However, you can actually get it for free: it’s readily available for anyone who knows where to look. After all, the best place to hide a tree is within a forest. The best place to hide valuable information… in a sea of information.
Do you know how most Internet gurus make money?
If you’re still new to Internet Marketing and on-line earnings, this may come to you as a surprise… a shock, even. But truth of the matter is that most Internet gurus make a living… by teaching others how they are doing it.
And more than often, this is actually their main source of income – especially with the most maven-like entrepreneurs. They’re earning big money selling you an e-book that tells you how they make money; which is by charging you money to get their e-book that teaches you how it’s done. How is that for self-recursive redundancy?
It’s not they’re exactly liars either… many of those people are indeed making big bucks. But when you buy into their $50 worth of “insider’s info”, you soon realize it’s essentially a beat-around-the-bush kind of story, rather than a practical down-to-the-nitty-gritty of what you actually have to do to be successful online.
They really aren’t telling you any secrets in those reports they’re selling: They’re just re-hashing free information that’s available anywhere, and re-packaging it in attractive formats. Nothing wrong with it, either… it’s called “marketing”.
But you know what the real irony is, here? You can actually learn those secrets from them, without spending a cent. You just have to know how to look for the good stuff, and where.
Take the red pill and learn how to read between the lines.
There’s an old ZEN saying that goes more or less like so: “don’t look at my finger, look at the moon it’s pointed at”. The same principle should apply when it comes to actually learning with the Internet gurus. Do not focus on what they’re saying; do not let yourself get caught up in those sales pitches.
Instead, look at what they’re actually doing between the lines. Look at how they’ve designed their websites, and how they’ve structured those sales funnels, and how they are enticing people to join their newsletters. Let yourself be taken in, but remain an observer. Do not allow yourself to be engaged in their clever sales copy. Learn from it.
Start looking at the headlines they write, and the kind of angles they use in those sales letters. Pay attention to these small details which are actually laid out in the open, for everyone who knows how to look! Learn from what the gurus do, and never mind what they say.
