It’s a well known fact that word of mouth can be one of the most powerful forms of marketing. It makes sense: I would take a close friend’s restaurant review over that of the business itself. Online the word of mouth concept still holds true.

Unless you’ve been able to convince a venture capitalist to part with some of their cash, your startup will probably have a tight budget with which to kickstart your business. However, even venture capitalist backed startups with millions in the bank can have an unsustainable burn rate.

Walking out of college with a degree is worthless. Think about it: Everyone entering the job market has a degree. Unless you’re some child prodigy that 18 years old and graduating from college, you and your degree don’t stand out from anyone else. Few employers want that candidate.

Admit it, you became an entrepreneur because you wanted to make money. We all did. But somewhere along the way, money became less important. The thought of starting something from scratch and building a lasting legacy was more enticing.
